Here are a small selection of images from Chris's various Tarot and Oracle deck projects. As a child, Chris was fascinated by the imagery of playing cards from a very early age. He discovered the Tarot at the age of thirteen and it became a natural extension of his original fascination. Chris has devised and/or created the illustrations for five Tarot decks and two Oracle decks to date.

The symbolism of the Tarot is one of the cornerstone inspirations in Chris's work, containing as it does a wealth of ideas and symbols from a wide range of cultures and spiritual traditions. Modern tarot is a framework through which artists can express a variety of ideas and philosophies. In this spirit, Chris collaborated with writer Kay Stopforth to illustrate her concept for the Quantum Tarot; a deck where stellar photography, cutting edge astrophysics and ancient beliefs meet as one. The deck has been published in two editions, firstly by Kunati Books in 2008 and latterly by Lo Scarabeo in 2010.

Chris is currently working on the Son Tarot, where he will create both the card images and write the accompanying book. The Son Tarot deck and book set will be published by Schiffer Books in the Autumn of 2012.
